The KEF Reference 1 Meta is a high-performance three-way standmount speaker featuring the 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array with MAT™ and a 165mm aluminium bass driver. Despite its compact proportions, it delivers an expansive soundstage, detailed high frequencies and controlled bass performance for demanding stereo listening.

The Uni-Q® array combines a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter with a 125mm aluminium midrange driver and MAT™ technology for precise, detailed and coherent sound reproduction.

Dedicated Aluminium Bass Driver

A dedicated 165mm aluminium bass driver delivers controlled low-frequency performance, giving the compact Reference 1 Meta impressive scale, depth and dynamic capability.

Flexible Bass Port Tuning

Short and long bass-reflex port configurations allow low-frequency response to be tailored, with free-field extension reaching down to 37Hz using the long port.

The KEF Reference 1 Meta brings Reference Series acoustic performance to a compact standmount design. Its 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array with MAT™ combines a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter and 125mm aluminium midrange driver, while a dedicated 165mm aluminium bass driver provides powerful low-frequency reproduction. The three-way bass-reflex design offers short and long port tuning, extending free-field response down to 37Hz with the long port and achieving a typical in-room bass response of 30Hz. With 85dB sensitivity, 111dB maximum output and amplifier compatibility from 50W to 200W, it delivers large-scale performance from a relatively compact cabinet.
