The Fosi Audio ZH3 combines high-resolution digital conversion, powerful balanced headphone amplification and dedicated preamplifier functionality in one desktop component. Its architecture uses an XMOS XU316 processor, AKM4493SEQ DAC and four OPA1612 amplifiers, supporting PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512. The fully balanced 4.4mm output delivers up to 2570mW per channel at 32Ω, while the 6.35mm output provides up to 640mW per channel. Three gain levels support headphones from 16Ω to 300Ω, while extensive digital and analogue connectivity, UAC 1.0/2.0 support, EQ adjustment, selectable filters and swappable op-amps provide broad system flexibility.
