The KEF Reference 8b is engineered to deliver deep, controlled low-frequency performance with exceptional precision. Its two opposing 225mm bass drivers use a force-cancelling configuration to reduce unwanted cabinet vibration, while two 500W Class D amplifiers provide a combined 1000W of dedicated amplification. DSP-based control manages the subwoofer’s performance, complemented by a variable low-pass filter with adjustable frequency and slope settings. RCA, balanced XLR and speaker-level inputs provide flexible system integration, while a dedicated RCA link output supports expanded installations. With extension down to 18Hz and maximum output of 110dB, Reference 8b is designed for high-performance music and cinema systems.
